RE/MAX-Roatan New Website
Last month I mentioned our website (www.roatan-realestate.com),
would have a new look. The site has been majorly overhauled and a considerable amount of information has been added. The newly added dropdown menus provide information on properties, what is involved in purchasing properties, and it even has a new Agent Page where people can connect directly with the Agents via email, and in some cases,Facebook, Linkedin, and other social media outlets.
Another new feature on the website is an About the Bay Islands tab, which provides general knowledge on traveling to Roatan and Utila, photo galleries of both islands, and a list of points of interest on the mainland. In addition, the website also contains a section on things to do while visiting the country and a printable map of the island.
While you are visiting the updated site, be sure to check out the All You Need to Know tab and the informative video series on what the island has to offer. The video series includes videos from an accountant and an attorney from the United States and a Honduran attorney. The video series also has a Geography Video Tour of the island so visitors can acquaint themselves with the area before they arrive.

HGTV–Five Upcoming Shows
We are excited to announce RE/MAX Bay Islands will be featured on five upcoming HGTV shows. The first show airs next week. The name of the show is Caribbean Life and features our Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) on Utila, Julie Shigetomi. This show will air on January 22nd at 9 PM (please check your local times.). New Restaurant
Recently, RE/MAX agents Doug and Annie Miles visited Papa Bone’s Brick Oven Pizza and Wings in Sandy Bay.
The owners, Chris and Deborah Sellars, expats from Galveston, Texas, are realizing their island dream with ownership of their ideal restaurant in our tropical paradise.
Located on the north side of the main road, next to Tranquil Seas resort, Papa Bone’s offers true brick oven pizza of several varieties with a taste very much like that of a typical New York pizzeria. It’s good! They offer 12″ and 16″ pizzas with prices ranging from $10 to $18+ along with pizza rolls, salads, and wings with your choice of 3 different sauces (Buffalo, Spicy Asian Garlic and BBQ). Papa Bone´s is currently open every Thursday through Sunday for lunch and dinner from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Need an Apple Laptop or IPhone fix?
Cellular Pro Repair is the place to go. They repair cellphones, tablets, and computers of all brands and specialize in Apple product repairs, down to the motherboard level for Macbook laptops. Their main focus is excellent customer service and satisfaction. Work is covered by a 60-day workmanship warranty and a 30-day warranty on replacement parts. New Airline to Service Roatan (RTB)
For those who live on the East Coast, especially in the South, this may be a new option for you to Roatan. Cayman Airlines has announced service to Roatan (RTB). Here is the information on flights.
Our Canadian Customer Base
Although people from all over the world live on the Bay Islands, we have a much higher percentage of clients from Canada than we do of United States citizens.
However, most of the time, we provide information, which leans toward the interest of those in the United States. That being said, we have an Agent here at RE/MAX that is from Canada.
